She's dead marra.
Hindsight is wonderful, rich owners are rarely football people. The one who replaces him after you hound him out could be no betterAs the owner and chairman Short has to take some responsibility for it all, it's not as if it happened beyond his control or influence is it.
He made very poor appointments within the club's executive, surrounding himself with individuals who through the past few years oversaw absolutely disastrous player recruitment, club strategy and contracting, leading to a total financial strangulation of our club.
He's then only proceeded to respond to this situation by freezing all the funds and just letting us drop and we haven't found the bottom yet.
They buy the debt more than pay it,any decent businessman will look at the balance sheet and do the same as Short not throw millions in.Exactly. Whoever buys the club needs to pay the asking price, pay the debt and be prepared to take on a business that will probably make huge losses for the next few years.
It's not quite as straightforward as "Short out!"

Moyes,O'neill,De Canio,Keane big football names, hiring and firing to keep us afloat and it worked twice. Now they are doing what they know how to,cutting costs and streamlining.People talk of administration, only major cuts stops stuff like that from becoming a reality. Not a popular choice but essential
In pigeon shit?I'm not on Facebook so I've wrote Short is a Tossa on the wall down Pan Lane.
But the rot continued because it wasn't their fault, the club has been badly mismanaged behind the scenes. Short's strategy was literally sack, re-hire, patch the team together through a few loan deals, survive, repeat. It's caught up with us.
I understand the point you are trying to make, but the fact we are in this situation is the accumulation of years of poor decision making and general incompetence. It's not just a money thing, the club's entire morale, spirit, cohesion, is broken. It needs a fresh start.
I disagree. The managers hold a massive amount of resposibilty for our current position, they wasted millions on shite and produced underperforming teams. But the rot continued because it wasn't their fault, the club has been badly mismanaged behind the scenes. Was Short interfearing with team selections and insisting certain players were bought? It's a total cop out to say it's not their fault.
...sorry.

Ha'way get yourselves signed up lads.
Yeah, was it Di Fanti who signed Buckley and Bridcutt for Poyet and it was just a coincidence Poyet used to manage them at Brighton? No, but it was the people he appointed to lead player recruitment, Congerton, De-Fanti etc, they were responsible for the ludicrous fees and contract blunders.

Ok figures aside as I understand because of your background that's what you will relate to when assessing his tenure. As a Sunderland fan, would you like Short should gone?Apart from one season where O'Neill actually turned a transfer profit, the lowest annual cash outflow relating to transfer payments was in the year De Fanti was DoF. He didn't pay ludicrous fees, he just bought the wrong players to fit what Di Canio wanted, and Gus couldn't get them going either. The biggest spender in the last ten years was Keane.
