Grayson Out

It is, really, absolutely ridiculous to suggest a new manager after so few games, but the this line was trotted out about Moyes and look how that panned out.

I feel a bit for Grayson. He's been dealt a dud hand but I think he has always been the wrong appointment.

We really need a man manager with a huge personality to turn the apathy around on the pitch and in the stands. That, or a young Manager, with ambition and a style of play. Simon appears to be neither.

Gary Rowett was there last season and we never even spoke to him.

He did a fantastic job at Birmingham with nowt to spend and is busy turning Derby in to a force.

We need some one like him. Grayson is a decent fella but looks totally lost.

I said this after 10 games under Moyes and got all sorts of stick. You can see when a manager has a plan and an identity he is trying to implement.

Moyes didn't show it, no one can say well at least this is how he wants us to play and the same thing is happening again. It's only a few games yes but as the OP has said, that squad of players is not a bottom end of the league squad. It's not a promotion one either but it's one that should comfortably be capable of finishing mid table.

Games like tonight and saturday should be ones where you walk away from them with 4 points based on the squads of players. There doesn't seem to be any clear direction or idea barring twat it forward and hope for the best.

Nothing against him and the players, they're giving their best. However they're just not good enough for Sunderland. Until Short goes theres no hope for anything though.

Disagree.

Embarrassing thread

4 defeats in 4 games scoring a total of 1 goal in the process is embarrassing.

Never said that did I. I could easily say you and others need to wake up to what the bigger problem is. Manager after manager failing and getting sacked, it can't all be their fault. He picked a side tonight that is probably the best we had available. I'm sure he would love to have spent good money on a striker, but he had under 2m to build a squad ffs. I'm very aware and "awake" to how hard that is for any fucker.

Eh!? I called it how it was years ago when people like you were still defending Short. He's also brought in shite like Galloway and Browning which is even harder to take knowing he's actually worked with them before.

It is aye but calling for getting rid of the manager this early is pathetic and wildly ignorant of what has gone before

Sometimes you just know. I didn't want him in in the first place and none of this surprises me. Poor manager and is failing to get the best out of the team. Might as well get rid now instead of waiting until things get worse, as this did under Moyes.

Like the last six years? The more we sack managers the worse it'll get, particularly when we haven't got a pot to piss in

Nope. The more we sack managers, the more chance we'll appoint a manager that can actually manage to get the best out of the group of players we have. This is a Grayson related thread, I fully appreciate the problems we have with Short and his board.

For me Grayson has nothing about him, but I was willing to give him a chance because of his big "knows the division" reputation, however, his championship tactical awareness is not currently happening, and so I agree, we need some grit and character at the helm.

You realise it costs money to sack managers, right?
