To be fair, it's fans of all clubs. Even heard Liverpool fans claim Thompson is overly critical of them. Merson definitely f***ing hates us for whatever reason by the way.

Why would Mersin hate Newcastle? The facts are that over the period of time someone like Merson has been doing his punditry both the mags and us have been in the main shite. Quite what fans of either club are hoping for in terms of praise I've no idea.

I agree. The very thought that someone might not like Sunderland is making me very very cross . But not as cross as those pundits who week after week kept predicting we would lose last season. His bloody dare they. Talk about a self fulfilling prophecy.
And dont get me started on those bastards who did the running order on motd.......

My original post wasn't about downing not liking us it was that he said it was all Carlisle from start to finish. I was listening to it and it was a pretty even half maybe Carlisle just edged it but certainly they didn't completely dominate it

All opinions though and I'd say watching a game live gives a better perspective than the radio.
