Mags sign Dortmund player on loan

Agree as I said earlier in the thread their signings remind me of ours a year ago

They think because they're signing some Dortmund reserve and he's got a fancy name he'll be a wonderkid forgetting the fact Dortmund have bomed him out after 2 starts for them ... Obviously he'll thrive under Rafa though

By that logic Manquillo should have been a world beater as we signed him from Atletico Madrid.

I think Jacob Murphy could become a good Premier League player but if they are expecting Gayle to bang in the goals next year I think they are in for a shock - he's never done it at Premier League level. Shelvey who they were all crowing about last year isn't good enough in the top flight either IMO.

I think they will do OK. Lower mid-table ish?

Ours is much better, and with a much better manager to boot, we'll be fine.

You've a better manager but a much better squad? I'm sorry like but you are just proving the stereotype of the deluded Mag.

Don Hutchison seems to think he is good, he never has much nice to say about Newcastle.

"“It’s not easy standing out when you’re playing in a squad as good as theirs and Merino didn’t play that much. But when he did feature for them, he caught my eye,” the Gateshead-born 46-year-old told ."

I wonder where he caught the eye. I very much doubt Don watched him much last season considering he barely played

Defoe, Pickford and maybe Khazri for the bench.
