Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

2 things,
  1. I'm not implying it was a cake walk, I'm refuting your statement that we limped to promotion. It's just not backed up by anything at all.
  2. Even in that cherry picked fixture we were clear of 3rd place, Huddersfield needing a win to get within 2 points of us. Huddersfield who went on to finish 5th.

The 2nd point reminds me that through the season we were told that Villa were going to catch us, Leeds would, Fulham would, Reading would. No one did.

That's not true.

He failed to keep us up, Sels, Lazaar were transfer missteps, he was too pragmatic for my taste at home. That said he delivered automatic promotion, at the first time of asking, Clark, Gayle, Ritchie, Hayden, were all very good signings, and his pragmatism delivered more points than all but 2 previous Championship title winners (so who am I to complain?).

Ironically the world isn't black and white as you seem to suggest.

The money spent you should not have limped over the line as you did. Yes you got promotion which i guess is the main aim however it leads to problems if you limped to promotion despite spending a fortune when you need to build a team to stay up.

Rafa says he wants the squad made smaller, well that is easier said than done.

You can't make something true just by repeating it loads.

9 points clear of 3rd place with a +41 better goal difference = limped to promotion...:lol:

Marra stop replying to the skunks or we'll never ever get rid of the saddos

Owned by Ashley....let go of your bitterness and hatred and obsession you're too old for this shit man

I thought it was mortgaged by NUFC and so strictly speaking Barclays own it. That was done to cover debts on a previous winning of relegation.

However, that would mean that the council don't own it.

The freemen of the city own the pitch. The club owns the land around the pitch. Ashley can do what he wants with it as long as the pitch remains untouched
