Problem is Leujene could be the next Vidic or the next Boumsong nobody knows so it is a gamble.

You were really weak defensively last season. Id be shocked if you didnt buy better by September first. Id say our defense on papers better than yours and we were shite :lol:

I'd say our defence as a unit is better than yours already and you're right, Lejeune is a gamble so I'm not even including him in the comparison.

So you've spent £30m how much more do you think Fat Mike will give The Obese One ? Can't see it being more (or much more) than another £40m which isn't much in this market when you still need a quality striker and centre midfielder

Yeah doubt it'll be more than £30-£40m which means we'll either not strengthen areas, or gamble on players who are unproven in the Premier League.

It might depend what happens with other clubs, we're not going to be setting the pace, we'll be looking to make deals. I wouldn't be surprised if we bought depth for the forward line and put our faith in Gayle and Mitrovic. Which is a concern.

So it turns out the club don't even value Mitrovic at £20m....as you were telling everybody he was a couple of weeks ago.

Why are you worried if rafa is this world class manager you all wank over then you will be top 10 no bother

Even in the current market I doubt he's worth half of that, he's scored around a dozen goals in 2 seasons ..... even after being sprinkled with Rafadust ;)

What chance would a manager, who isn't world class, have with him?
