Over 38 games we did a fair job of relegating ourselves. But I take your point, had we beaten you at home then we would have stayed up. (I think?, cant actually remember the points totals now). But that never looked likely in that game. You should have won that one too.

If we were still in the Premier League that would have been 11 years in a row but no way would I think we could rival Everton in our current state

And there is no way I would expect us to rival any top Premiership club on the basis we had just been promoted and had 52000 screaming fans which seems to be the basis of superdrunks argument.

Maybe as a supporter himself and club legend he feels the same as we do. Constantly underachieving for fifty f***ing years. Mind you, at least they had a ray of sunshine in the nineties.... Oh how I wish for something similar to that for us.
But no... we will just canter on employing shit players and yes men managers and sacking the ones who actually want to make a difference
They may be deluded but we're just a shite ran club and a huge f***ing joke.

Maybe he does but if we get promoted this season I would not expect Gary Rowell to write a piece in the Echo asking why we are not competing with Everton for players - or even Newcastle should they stay up.

I'm sure they played Brighton iirc on a Tuesday night under Ardiles and there was something like 14000 there, someone will probably correct me if I'm wrong but I've quoted to a few mags over the years and none have disputed it so they either know fuck all about their club or it's true? Do the Mags have an inferior version of stat cat ? (Wank Mag would be a canny name if they did have one!)

Pretty sure I recall about 9000 against Norwich at the landfill, back in about 78.
 
No panic tbey have signed a full back just like they did last year when they signed yedlin and jesus and tbe other fella to compete with dummett and anita and the other fella and colback.
