Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

You've averaged 31 posts a day for every single day you've been a member here. You also mustn't have anything better to do with your life.

Says the Mag coming on here to post on here at 7 in the morning

I post on the board of my football team and, as an exile, find it useful to keep in touch with fellow Sunderland supporters, many of which are friends of mine.

Besides, half of my posts are just posting  to idiotic Mags with nothing better to do than spend their days on here.

Rumours West Ham have had a £10M bid accepted for Shelvey.

Most likely bullshit mind!

A lad I work with reckons he hasn't been happy for a while and it wouldn't surprise him if he left. West Ham certainly are spending money and despite what some think on here, are getting a decent side together. Couldn't blame him if he did jump ship for London

Absolutely I like you to struggle. But the point in question was infact whether you think we're bothered if Rafa splashes the cash. We are not bothered.

If Benitez doesn't get money to spend it increases the likelihood of us facing an insurmountable challenge.
You want us to fail in the face of that challenge.

It's no stretch to say you you'd prefer Benitez didn't have money to spend and I'm not sure why you're arguing against this?

So the waiter has proven he's in complete control of transfers by bringing in all 4 of his major targets. The mags are all fully behind the signings and are satisfied that each represents real premier league quality and are major improvements on the existing squad members.

Any problems in the coming season and the blame will sit fairly and squarely at the waiters table. Ashley cannot share any responsibility.
Chuckle aye, aye, I know, "chomp"... brilliant.

Whee you talking to? I've put them on ignore so some posts look even dafter than usual. The select few with something to say survive;)

you spend a hell of a lot of time here... for a mag

Reminder: Rafa is one of the best paid managers in Europe right now and is on a contract worth 15 million over 3 season (iirc). If he walks he loses that. If he gets sacked however he gets the payout in full.

He can't break his contract or it'll cost him 15m. He won't walk, he'll get sacked.

Or he can do what Keegan did should promises not be kept, sure for constructive dismissal. Worked for the Keegler.

Keegan was a tit. He was mentally unwell after that Man Utd season.

Rafa isn't daft. It's a good job, they're a big club, they've got money, and they've just come off a good season. He's the 13th best paid manager in EUROPE at the minute. He probably has a 50-80m transfer budget sitting there and they already have a semi-decent, happy team. 2 or 3 marquee signings and they'll be strong. He won't give a fuck about an "extra 20m promised transfer budget this year" if they're top 10 and flying, certainly not enough to walk out on a 15m contract.

Point being, this thread is bait and just a mag argument thread. Rafa's going nowhere.

Aye, he won't go if he's backed for the rest of the window as he has been thus far. We were slow to start, but now we seem to be ticking along nicely. Wish we could manage to sort out a couple of transfers at once though.

Got to be honest, I thought you’d steam out of the blocks with some massive signings this pre-season. It still might happen but from our point of view, I’m not massively concerned as yet.
