Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

If you added up all the long winded piffle he's put on here he could have had a couple of books out!
I stuck folk like him and what a w***er on ignore awhile ago as their very presence on here made me cringe for them
Whilst they tend not to be aggressive its just embarrassing the amount of time they spend on here

It's incredible that someone can take the time and trouble to invent, and act up to, the persona of an eloquent toff.

But it's hilarious when he loses it, forgets who he's pretending to be and responds like the office dwelling Mag he really is.

I knew they would turn shite into gold

How Javier Manquillo transfer shows Rafa is in control of signings - even if it doesn't excite fans
Newcastle United's latest summer signing Javier Manquillo has struggled in England before, but Chris Waugh argues this is a significant acquisition :D

Javier Manquillo might represent just about the polar opposite of any dream signing fans may have been hoping for this summer, but his acquisition is significant nonetheless.

Not in terms of what the 23-year-old is likely to bring to the Magpies squad - the right-back has underwhelmed during two previous spells in England and will be looking to prove the doubters wrong immediately - but regarding the fact influence over recruitment has been well and truly reasserted.

Undoubtedly the Spaniard has been frustrated by the ponderous pace of Newcastle’s summer business so far and he would have liked to have seen progress long before the past fortnight.

But United are signing players identified by Benitez and his own scouting team themselves.

The club’s hierarchy tried - and ultimately, if perhaps inexcusably and inexplicably, failed - to sign Tammy Abraham, Willy Caballero and Ruben Semedo at Benitez’s behest.

Yet , Florian Lejeune, Jacob Murphy and Manquillo have all been Benitez requests too.

Eh

Surely it means the opposite. Are they really going to believe Rafa went to Lee Charnley with 3 right back targets and Javier Manquillo was in that 3.

More like Rafa asked for Jenkinson and Ashley said too expensive.

'Aye, Willy, anar Chelsea want to pay you a jillion quid a year to train but do you fancy coming and getting 20p and a greggs every week to get hammered every week???'

Deluded bastards blaming the higher ups for that, man!

It's just utter drivel coming from them at the moment, somehow convincing themselves we're all in a conspiracy to convince everyone Manquillo is shit when he's actually the second coming of Cafu.

Can't wait to see reality hit them again this season. They will struggle with that squad.

rafa must see something we don't :D

In fact, Mundo Deportivo - the Spanish paper who first broke the story that Manquillo was closing in on a permanent move to Tyneside - claims that Benitez personally intervened in this latest transfer and that the deal was at the “express request” of the United manager.

Is he losing the plot like? Manquillo just isn't premier league standard

I specifically chose my words so as not to say that spending money equates success, sorry for the confusion.

Am I wrong in thinking you'd like us to struggle?

Absolutely I like you to struggle. But the point in question was infact whether you think we're bothered if Rafa splashes the cash. We are not bothered.

Strange that, considering every time we've signed someone it's been mentioned on here. Be a bit weird discussing something that didn't interest you.

I think you're finding it difficult to differentiate between having a passing interest to pass comment and actually giving a shit. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Nee bother, glad you've cleared that up being the board spokesman and all...

Where have I said I had an issue with it ? I was merely passing comment

You feel it's 'strange', no?

Is it 'strange' that fans of other clubs besides Newcastle post on here?

I think you will find that I consider it strange in so much that you seem to find it odd that your transfer business is discussed here . Are there certain topics that should be a no no ?

I'm pretty sure you said earlier that you found it strange that every time you signed a player it was discussed on here. I could be wrong and feel free to correct me
