Due to animal testing?

Currently working in Cambridge's Bio-Medical area on a build for CR.

AZ is over the road in temporary housing whilst their new place get's finalised. We've all witnessed 14 dead gorillas being driven out on the back of a tractor. 2 lads have packed up shop and gone and said they won't be coming back, knowing what was going on around here. I guess seeing it has flicked a switch in their head!

doubt they are gorillas...

well if your mates are happy to use the drugs that could save their lives then they are well within their moral compass

They were bigger than chimpanzees, I know that much!

I am of the opinion that if it takes an animal to possible host the cure for a human, then go for it.

In the UK, the use of great apes has not been allowed since 1998. Chimpanzees are still used in the USA, although the number is declining.

We need to know a little more don't we. Were they killed illegally, did they suffer, all sorts.

If everything was done humanely, legally, above board etc I doubt walking off your job is a good plan.

Maybe campaign for animals not to be used in testing.

If there was obvious cruelty going on then report it. Still don't need to walk out, do you?

I'm sure you meant to say not use the drugs and so I'd be inclined to agree. Most of these types are massive hypocrites.

If the OP had said he was working at the Benetton site it may have been different but then as much as I like animals my need for a wage is higher.

No idea. Everything that goes on happens behind closed doors. As it happens, we are in the third storey portakabin and saw by looking over their fence

All sorts of nasty stuff goes on in the world. I try not to think about it. Nature is harsh enough, let alone what goes on in animal labs and abattoirs. I don't want to spend my waking hours thinking about animal suffering.
