All Gibson is doing is trying to back Monk in the transfer market by bringing a few players in' nowt wrong with that but it doesn't guarantee anything as has been proved countless times over the years.Time will tell whether his investments pay off.If Ben Gibson & others are sold they will be far from certainties for promotion.

:D:D

Could not care less about them. We've too much to be worrying about ourselves shifting these mercenaries & getting their replacements in.

Boro is my guess.

Definitely Boro, look at his posting history. He only ever comments on Boro related threads.

You'd think Moyes might have been more popular considering the doom laden, defeatist attitude he shares with some of our supporters.

We just been relegated showing absolutely zero fight. We have no money and a squad full of shite.

Defeatist attitude

Never thought I'd see the day when i look at the smoggies and feel slightly envious.

You didn't feel envious in the early to mid 2000s? when we had the likes of Southgate, Ehoigh, Ziege, Mendieta, Zenden, Juninho, Viduka, Boksic etc winning a cup, playing in Europe.

You were getting record low points totals.

Won fuck all, tin pot club & shit fans. Why they are even mentioned on here is beyond me like.
They are the Millllllwallllll of the NE, except without the attitude. No one likes them, not even them.
I don't like them but to be fair the have won a trophy and reached a European Final in recent memory.

Not really , as a lot of posters agree myself included that you've always been pretty insignificant. Your derby game is York.
Your support when your struggling is abysmal and the place is the arsehole of the world.
My only comment being i believe your financial position is better than us and you have more depth in your squad ATM.

Nice day out in York for the match though eh?:)

Sad times. Lets hope we don't sink any further.
Top 10 finish would be all we can hope for IMHO.

Why!? Cos they have just massively overpaid on a striker who's always injured? Don't get me wrong he's a class player but for so risky of a price the season after relegation I would settle for Vaughan for the price we paid.

It's silly and extremely risky business for a club of their size to conduct the season after relegation with the massive financial losses that come with that.

I also think despite fishing lower than them we have came down with a better squad i.e. Some very talented youngsters, players like Ndong and KhazrI who could stay and light up the league and even the ones out the door are very profitable sellable assets which they don't have much of.

Of course they have more chance of going up than us cos they have a bigger budget. But honestly I think we have the better manager and as Huddersfield and Villa respectively showed last season it's not all about money in this league.

You will be forever be a smoggie on here now, the paranoia runs wild on these forums. Some people on here will say Boro spent money badly or if it goes well for them this season it will be 'they bought the league' it basically all just stems from jealousy/bitterness because I for one would f***ing love for us to spend and show some actual ambition to get out of this league.

I was envious of them the day i saw Emmerson strike a ball harder than i ever seen one struck, and nearly take the net of the goal frame, against us, into the Roker end, and then getting congratulated by Juninho and Ravenneli. Yip, was envious that day.
Nowadays however, i honestly think they punch well above their weight as it is.

Think they're signings are good for this level and they've got some depth to their squad. Got to say they look to be in a stronger position than us at the moment and amongst favs to go up.

We're still a few players short as is and likely to sell 3-4 yet. A lot to do in the next 6 weeks.

York? New one to me. Banter.

Actually history shows that when both clubs spend a significant amount of time in the second tier, attendances of both clubs drop to similar levels. See your support under Mick Buxton for example. Be interesting to see what your attendances will be this season if a) you struggle and b) don't have any deals to bump up your attendances. I reckon low 20s. Lets see how you your attendances fair after 7 seasons of struggle in the second tier hey?

oh and -

Glad I could clear that up for you. I won't expect a reply as we are pretty insignifcant aren't we?
