Smoggies

Never thought I'd see the day when i look at the smoggies and feel slightly envious.
Sad times. Lets hope we don't sink any further.
Top 10 finish would be all we can hope for IMHO.
The mid to late 90s were far worse man.
3 finals, new ground before us, Ravanelli, Juninho, Emerson, etc.
And to rival them we had..erm....

Still think we'll finish higher than them

Whoopy f***ing do they spent £15million on a striker

People on here were wetting themselves on here cause they signed Rhodes & negrado last season

Sorry Hank but I think they'll walk this league at a canter. They've made some excellent signings at fees which we can only dream of spending whilst we are in the financial mess we are.

All Gibson is doing is trying to back Monk in the transfer market by bringing a few players in' nowt wrong with that but it doesn't guarantee anything as has been proved countless times over the years.Time will tell whether his investments pay off.If Ben Gibson & others are sold they will be far from certainties for promotion.

And both clubs were relegated together.

We have an owner 10 times as wealthy as theirs but 100 times less committed.
That's the norm in football now mate' blokes like Steve Gibson are few & far between. He will pack it all in one day & Boro will be walking on eggs.

Envious of what, they have spent a lot of money on a championship striker. Spending money doesn't mean success

Boro in their recent history have pushed the boat out in terms of fee's and wages. Juninho, Alen Boksic, Ravenelli etc

Won fuck all, tin pot club & shit fans. Why they are even mentioned on here is beyond me like.
They are the Millllllwallllll of the NE, except without the attitude. No one likes them, not even them.

So where do u hail from then? South bank, Stockton or Redcar? Cos only a mutant could believe that they are better than us, ever. They are a very small club in yorkshire who look at us and the mags and know, even if they did a Leicester, they won't ever be anything more than shit on our shoes. So for anyone to envy them, their 12 fingers and thumbs, their shit town centre (yes it's worse than ours!), and their massive crowds, they must be f***ing daft, or a smoggie themselves.
And there's the rub, both lots of our supporters seem to think that as we're Newcastle or Sunderland we are by right better at football than everyone else...we're not.

Give owa the season hasn't started yet. Nobody knows what's gonna happen. Not impressed at all by Boro's signings.

Didn't say we were better at football, said they are nowt compared to us as a club, they are literally a nothing club, who could be premier league champions and I still wouldn't lose sleep over them. My question is why are we even considering them? They're not our rivals. I'm not envious of villa and, I think, they'll walk this league, so why am I bothered about them inbreds from yorkshire? Answer, I'm not!

How the fuck can Sunderland be described as a "big club" good following but that's all.

Without wishing to sound like I am giving an opinion of course and one that sounds like it is nonsense, I don't think Middlesbrough have done anything any more spectacularly better than us this season. When Simon Grayson was appointed (and this is my first opinion of his appointment as it happened when I was "away" getting some proper peace from the SMB) I thought (not that my opinions are worth much on here) we had just settled for second best. I thought (not that my thoughts are worth much on here) Gary Monk was a better and more secure manager. But signs have been given to me that Simon Grayson is at least earning marks for things few others ever did. Talking about what he did in the press conference and giving a tongue lashing to those not pulling their own weight a good example.

The only thing I am envious of is the £14m signing of Britt Assombalonga. I wish we could spend that much on a player. But even then I don't know anything about any of their signings. I don't know anything about our own. I have naturally never seen them or studied them.
