I'm pretty sure Asoro and Maja will get games but I'd want an experienced option too in this slog of a season. I can see the logic here.

I think the best case scenario we can hope for is Vaughan, the lad from Preston and maybe one other striker bought (or loaned) with Asoro/Maja between them competing for the fourth striker slot.
Will be more than happy with that after the window closes provided we have the likes of McGeady & Gradel able to supply them.

You're probably right. I think Murphy could be a loan target or a cheap signing and don't forget Watmore coming back at some point. I wouldn't be surprised to see Asoro or Maja loaned to Bury as part of this Vaughan deal. They'll likely get more game time and development there for a year as they won't be near the team once we've signed a couple of strikers.

Echo now reporting Vaughan is already here, medical today.

Let's hope last season wasn't a blip, his overall record is pretty tame like he's only hit double figure three times in his whole career. Hope his injuries are behind him and he's finally sorted his head out. Or is league one his level and last season a one off? For the price if it turns out to be the latter I'm sure we'd get our money back off him anyway so it's a no lose situation in reality.

This bloke called it before it was on here.

Seems like he properly knows his stuff but everything is Liverpool based. Probably how he heard about James Vaughan. Could be worth monitoring if we go for any more Everton/ex Everton players
