While there's some truth in that I was hoping he'd sign people with potential as opposed to someone who has dropped a level or two to find his feet. Early days but it's worrying given he could have been in for this lad from day one had he been top of his list. What do I know though, I'd be lying if I claimed to know anything about him or the gaffer.

Exactly. We'll be struggling with other targets and we've moved, possibly in desperation, onto somebody previously known to the manager. If we'd had real interest earlier we'd have bid when we started going for mcgeady.

It shows the current state of the club. A complete mess. Bain said we had to be better in buying players then proceeded to allow Moyes to sign 13 players. A lot with no resale value.
