Striker
Inspiring signing![]()
What were you expecting? The club is fucked, loads of debt and an owner who wants out. We were never going to spend anything significant imo
This is the harsh reality of where we are now as a club

So that's hugill and vaughan who are fine as filler. When are the starters coming in?
No chance. Watmore not a centre forward and if Maja is our main central striker then that is ridiculous. Lad has got talent but no way should he have the weight on his shoulders. They're already here. Maja and Watmore.

Aye
He's a pretty poor Championship striker tbf.
Been a bit of a journeyman and probably found his level down in League 1. Even with a limited budget we can surely find better than him.

Feels like another lazy transfer to me.
Nobody can tell me he's been recommended to us by any scout! This is a case of agent approaches club, he's cheap, yes please.
mediocrity.I'd like to think team selection was a meritocracy based on performance in training and in matches, with nobody as "first choice" or "backup" but a squad of players competing for places.
Are you the reality police?Reality bites.
Hugill's mate on here seemed much more positive about his prospects for coming here...We need to up our offer to Hugill or he is off to Brum

He will be coming in to be an experienced striker, who Grayson knows and happens to be cheap. If he does start 20+ games then there is a good chance he has warranted those starts. I can't believe someone who scored 24 goals in a league below ours is being completely written off, he's not an inspiring signing but if we had stayed up and then signed Chris Wood, (a striker who scored 27 goals in a league below ours and had never been prolific before then) I doubt there would be as much complaining.Yep and i repeat if he is 4th choice striker and we bring 3 more players strikers in above him in the pecking order then I'll be content. If he is first or second choice striker then it will be very underwhelming. Dropped out of the Championship last season as presumably not good enough and joins a struggling League One side. No goals in 2015/16 season, 7 in 2014/15 in the league WE ARE IN. So a JOURNEYMAN with SEVEN goals in his last TWO championship goals is a 'good idea'? Behave.
If the plan is to start this guy for 20+ games then it is not a good idea at all, if he will be a Daryll Murphy type signing and just come in when we have injuries than I'll be OK with it. Time will tell what the intentions are though.
think he (midds)probably knows that mind being a mag who is constantly on this board.......Sad bastard
that good you cannit even spell his name right--going to be a right chuckle this season indeedYou must be logged on to see media items

Yep it's a good job the owner turned down the offer he received for the club, in the clubs best interests. Who knows what our targets would be with these Germans in charge. Probably be scouring Hartlepool for some relegation bargains. What were you expecting? The club is fucked, loads of debt and an owner who wants out. Major signing? Don't get your hopes up.See thats the problem, Vaughan Galloway and Browning came out of nowhere, no hint of ITKs knowing either. So we could unveil a major signing next week nobodys even aware of.
