Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

Aye but when Rafa is pissed off because you won't pay for Abrahams loan fee you know something isn't adding up
The thing is while that could be entirely plausible knowing our owner, there hasn't been any real evidence of that being true, I've also heard he wanted the chance to work with Clement at Swansea who hes worked closely with at Chelsea in the past, I also heard that Chelsea preferred him to go to Swansea because they promised him more game time.

All the sources in the media who have actually bothered to get actual quotes from Benitez suggests he is still happy enough and he is still working hard on deals, if there really was huge friction with the club he wouldn't admit that this window is "crazy" would he, that would weaken his position.

I see you didn't disagree with my actual point, but chose to argue with semantic pedantry instead. Nice. That's terrifically useful. But, Gotta get dem likes, I suppose.

Your 'actual point' is a fabricated scenario based on your own guesswork.

You guess that Townsend really wanted to go to Newcastle and that Benitez wanted to sign him. You guess that the club are arguing over small amounts of money.

You don't have a fact or a quote to back any of this up.

You've absolutely no facts, either, to back up your claims of 'comparatively small sums'.

You don't know what signing on fee might be wanted, what length of contract, what wage demands, what bonus payments, what release demands, what relegation clause, etc etc etc etc.

Your whole 'point' is based on guesswork.

Such anger

If 3 million is over the odds for a decent championship striker that helped us win as champions then I think you lot are in for a shock in terms of signings this season.
oh here is the spineless one, claiming everyone is bitter or angry, Still we won't have to put up with you when it goes tits up again
£600, 000 per goal for someone who is 34
I don't think anyone of us will be surprised at signings but his best season was 2014-15. He scored 10 goals in 34 games the season before fatty paid £3m for him
 "helped us win as Champions"- He scored 5 f***ing goals. Mitrovic's 9 goals the season before helped you win relegation

Is this a thing that is unique in Sunderland? To cherry pick parts of a conversation, take them out of context then argue against those isolated contextless fractured parts of a conversation?

Seems silly.

Not as silly as some black and white coming on a sunderland message board, googling the meaning of a certain word, copy and pasting it and all to win some minor argument over its meaning.

If you don't like the way we go on on here, please take this opportunity to fuck off onto some NUFC forum.

Like McClaren getting to a major European final or winning the title in Holland? Or Dick winning 10,000 titles in a row with Rangers or taking his country to the World Cup?

Yes I interview all the time and what I'm mostly interested in is what the candidate can offer, plans they have and enthusiasm for the job. Experience comes into play slightly but probably only 40% of it has a baring on my decision
So what people have done elsewhere has moved from being of no consequence to some consequence. What bit of consistency don't you grasp.

You mean like John Carver ? What did he get the job on ?
Btw, for the record, how do your looks hold up against someone like, say, Peter Beardsley? Just asking like
Well if that's you in your avatar then I'm an absolute stunner.

How many times have you got to be told. This is a great forum, which is why people come on to it. It's the only thing that Ellis Short has got right since he bought the club and that's because he has nothing to do with it.

My mag mate at work reckons, despite Rafa as their manager, as a promoted club they are going to struggle to attract players.
He said as if Toure and Mangala were going to sign, Hart will go to West ham, Abraham to Swansea, this kid from Liverpool, apparently they struggling to meet on a loan fee and now appears will go to Boro and finally they latest name linked is a lad who has been relegated twice in two seasons.
He is usually sound and it was refreshing hearing honesty even though he did make me laugh referring to Atsu as not premier league standard haha

I've not been told that before from what I can remember.

RTG

The mags will struggle to sign anybody of any substance with or without Rafa as no fucker wants to come up here. Clubs like palace, Watford etc can at least match the wages and players would rather be down south. If mags finish 17th it'll be a result for them IMO.

That's taken you a helluva long time to reply, were you stuck for a response ?
How would you rate me compared to Beardsley or Carver ? I will hang on for another hour for your reply

What's the point in football when a player would rather play for Swansea than Newcastle though, I mean no offense but why even bother getting promoted unless you're going to spend a billion pounds

It's amazing ..... new posters keep arriving to repeat what's already been said

Also in the equation is the fact they will have to unload a lot of championship players who won't hack it in the premiere

People will go to the North East otherwise both clubs would be full of academy players. Money talks as ever. Ashley only sees the club as a means of making money so he's not going to be paying what he sees as over the odds for players. The difference between him and the owners of other clubs is they are prepared to make less of a profit, but a profit nonetheless.
