Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

Did you not understand the analogy?

I'll try something else, He wasn't allowed to do any business in that window. That window wasn't one that he had control over. There was once a man called Rafa, who the King of Sportsdirectland had forbidden from buying or selling! Rafa BEnitez was in charge during the January window, but despite wanting to do business, and having targets lined up, wasn't permitted to conduct the business he wanted. It is fair to say he didn't "have" a window because "having" a window would imply the ability to do business in that window, which he didn't have, ergo, he didn't "have" that window.

I'm running out of ways to explain this...

I'm shocked that you, of all people, would try so very hard to twist this around. I mean you've declared that you're not biased quite often, yet this twisting is a very good example of bias interrupting ones ability to be objective.

(I've addressed the Roy Keane point, do I really need to go through it again?)
Patronising tosh again. You can't help yourself

Why bother?

Yes I understood the analogy, and being patronising like that is unnecessary to be honest.
It still doesn't alter the fact you said he only had one window, you didn't say he had two windows but wasn't allowed to do business in one of them.

Gettin, I get to explain how buying 11 players for £55m to deliver automatic promotion is a good job well done... again.

Nah, fuck it, go read one of the other myriad threads where Sunderland fans insist winning the Championship is no achievement and the Newcastle fans calmly explain the many ways in which the Sunderland fans are wrong.

Your starting 11 only consisted of 4 benitez signings gayle ritchie hayden clark.

The rest struggled to win their place consistently against players already there like Murphy Yedlin Sels Diame.

But yes he did brilliantly with that 55m

Yedlin is a Rafa era signing, Rafa took over in March, Yedlin finished the season with us, went back to Spurs and signed for them at the end of the transfer window iirc

I think it's fair enough to be patronising when the other party is being willfully ignorant/disingenuous.

I know i was saying yedlin couldnt win his place vs anita showing he didnt inherit too bad a squad

2 things,

Football is a squad game which you know fine well
You're, once again, misquoting me to service your position, rather than accurately reflect mine. I didn't say "Benitez did brilliantly with that £55m".

I didn't accuse you of that.

I accused you of being wilfully ignorant/disingenuous.

I am so angry I might go punch a horse.
I'm neither to be honest. Certainly not ignorant, you are the one that messed up and then back tracked, I've not found where you covered the point about Keane either.
Apologies if I missed it

seemingly whinging at the state of the market and teams spending loads of money...... ironic coming from him, given how much he has spent over the years

this is the bloke who spent 250 million at Liverpool. 35 million of that on Glen Johnson and Alberto Aqualani in 2009
