Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

They are all criticising the article by Craig Hope, and we all do it, so I'm not criticising them because if it's something we want to hear we believe it, if it's not we don't.
But, he was the one that broke the news that Rafa was joining them after tufty was sacked.
They can't even finalise loan signings or free transfers at the minute for some players.

If they think Rafa wouldn't be frustrated about it, they're bonkers. Allardyce was starting to get frustrated too apparently and I can see Rafa being the same.

They seem to be struggling massively, for whatever reason, it's certainly not the walk in the park they thought it might be

No bias or piss taking, if Rafa doesn't get what he wants he will be away. I'm not even sure he really wants to be there. He's fast become yesterday's man and may only have one last chance at a decent job.

I said it last year, he's the next Sven, blagging jobs on mega wages purely because of his name. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Chinese leagues next year on a mega bucks deal to see him into retirement.

It's not bias or piss taking from me either, but it's as clear as day he will be off if he doesn't get what he wants, I'm not sure he's even spoken to the media since they went back into pre-season training. Sometimes silence speaks volumes.
The name is definitely the thing, no doubt, yet it doesn't seem big enough to attract the likes of Abrahams who he met with personally

I honesty hope he stays.

They are fucked if they dont spend big. They have nobody who will score goals at that level

Looks like it's only a matter of time imo. Doesn't appear to be getting the backing he asked for and wouldn't blame him if he walked. Cheap cunts R us, still living in 2007 regarding transfer fees.

I've said consistently I can't decide what would be funnier, the meltdown if he goes or them scrambling all over the place to justify him and his results when it turns to shit. Because they won't want to say he's not as good as they expected

He's onto a winner whatever happens. The fans will back him and blame Ashley.

The Mags have become quieter and quieter since this story first started.

At first they were laughing and claiming the story was just daft paper talk.

Then it was just King Rafa forcing Ashley's arm.

Now it's starting to turn into 'Ashley is a cheapskate'.

The predictability is absolutely laughable

Welcome back

They will spend and he will stay, they love a pre season tantrum

I doubt he'll be allowed the money he needs so him staying would be the ideal scenario.

A poor start, and the dreary football they played last season, would have the Toon Army straining to avoid criticising the King.

It would be great watching them squirm.

"From Lee Ryder in the Chronicle Live Blog:
Spent a little bit of time with Rafa Benitez at the Academy today. While the club have been frustrated with the lack of done deals Rafa seemed in good spirits. Seems very determined to get players in and said the club were working hard to make that happen. The summer window is certainly testing Newcastle right now but seems to be a belief they will get what they need this summer. Newcastle still have deals on the table for players so it’s very much a case of watch this space."
