A player who went from rarely used bench warmer to scoring 24 goals last season will go down in value? Put your red & white specs down for a minute and have a think about that.

Mitrovic scored 1 in 2.6 last season and the previous season he scored 9 in the Premier League. What is the fee for Borini's transfer once Milan are obligated to buy? How many Premier League goals did he score in 3 seasons at Sunderland? How many International goals or appearances has he?

Yet Borini will cost more than Mitrovic? :lol: come on man, you're not even trying.

Mitrovic is not worth anywhere near the £20m you state and I cannot believe we're actually discussing this.

Dwight Gayle is a decent Championship striker - who will struggle to get 10 goals next year. You seem to forget the fact he couldn't do it in the PL at Palace - 15 goals in 3 seasons.

You also seem to not realise he had to drop a league to get his 24 goals.

The £20m I suggest was hyperbole to reflect the bizarre market where lazy mercenaries can go for £30m, where bang average centre backs can go for £10m and where average full backs can go for £15m. A young striker with 9 goals in his debut season won't go for £5m. Personally, if he leaves I'd expect him to go for closer to £15m than £20m, but certainly to suggest £5m is laughable.

Gayle is a very good Championship striker, who may not get double figures this coming season. I don't forget he didn't score many at Palace, I take into account the fact he rarely played. In fact, in the Premier league he's got a goal every 182 minutes. Borini, by comparison scored a goal every 871 minutes.

I think your valuations are laughable because they're so clearly based on the club you support, rather than the real world.
