I'm extremely underwhelmed by him. Then you see some of the goals he's scored for his country and you wonder why he can't get anywhere near that playing for us. I don't think Rafa fancies him at all so I expect any reasonable offer to be accepted. can see the fee being silly in this country, but a lot more realistic in the less well funded leagues.

I agree that he doesn't seem to fit into Benitez's plans. Which for me, is a shame, I like his enthusiasm, and it's always nice to see a fan of your club trying his hardest for your club. There's a good player in there and were he plying his trade under someone like Pulis, Allardyce, he'd be doing better.

Benitez will obviously change his approach given we're not going to be facing opposition happy to surrender possession and looking to stifle us. That might mean more need for a player who can hold the ball better than Gayle, a physical presence in our own box too. Or it could mean a team like West Brom fancies taking a punt on the big lad.

Krul is finished. It seemed to coincide with him having very little competition for his place which led to massive complacency on his part.

That's my theory anyway.

He'll never be the same player he was before the cruciate injury, I think thats more of factor rather than the competition or lack of. Once a player is concious of injury, I think it affects your ability.

The market is inflated - you're correct - for young English players and top players at top clubs. Mitrovich and NUFC do not fall into this category.

If you had a £20m asset, you'd build your team around him.

Gayle was your top scorer last season and he's worth about £10m.
