Sex offender is probably more accurate but the definition of a paedophile (according to Google) is a person who is sexually attracted to children.
She was underage. He was sexually attracted to her.

One 15 y.o. is not "children" as a group, and the definition should include terms like "primary sexual attraction" and "pre pubescent" anyway. He isn't a paedophile (or at least hasn't been proven to be one).

I don't know. He knew she was underage and went ahead. He even did an internet search for "age of consent" with the first meeting being when she was 14.
When he does come up for release, I think a psychologist needs to take a good look at him to ensure he does not have a liking for underage girls and thus is not a future threat.
In theory anybody could "have a liking" to somebody underage, not everybody matures at the same rate. The stupidity, or maybe arrogance, lies in the fact that he found out her age and didn't let it stop him.

Aye, well I'm not saying he's a paedo, from what I gather, the lass was fully developed physically. I think it would be mental to suggest he doesn't like them young though.

When the sentencing judge gave his summary he stated that Johnson was attracted to her not because of her age but in spite of her age, this is the judge clearly saying he is not a paedophile.
