Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

Terrific levels of fewm on here from the usual suspects.

Apparently Benitez is a failure because of 10 games amongst a career of trophies. Pardew is a success because of 1 aberrant season amongst a career of failure.

I'm honestly curious to see how some of you will twist reality if Benitez succeeds at Newcastle. Say we end up midtable next season (18/19), or win a cup in the next few years. I'll be fascinated to know how it'll be disregarded. I'm guessing there'll be talk of money spent, there'll probably be a forensic dissection of the opposition we faced and why they weren't up for the fight/were weakened/etc. and of course there'll be a reference to our recent relegation.

FUMAN.

You need to stay in the league first, mate. Rafa has shown he isn't too clever at that.

I wonder what effect all this transfer talk is having on the existing players......must be unsettling, when the club, media and fans all think we need 7 or 8 better players to compete in the top division. As far as I can see, the only players who can look forward with confidence are Ritchie and Atsu.......Oh and why have we offered a new contract to Gouffran?!
I think it's bound to have an impact, not using it as a direct comparison but I'm pretty sure some of Moyes comments didn't help our players last season. I'd suspect most players have pretty big egos that need massaging rather than threatened.

More rumblings in the bong eye and its not the Two Tonne Tapas Titheeds bellies.....

Nee smerk

he's a genius

All of you

Sir Alex Ferguson - world class manager, won multiple honours building different squads
Well, that's not true as I've certainly not called him "World Class" nor have I seen him referred to as World Class on here by Newcastle fans.

Benitez has won multiple honours and has built different squads. If we apply your criteria, then you believe Rafa Benitez to be a World Class manager.
