I'm amazed we've acted this quickly after the takeover fell through, Bain must deserve a bit of credit for having everything lined up.

Hopefully Grayson has enough time, and a bit of money, to sort out a reasonable squad before the first game.

Its as if the take over was never likely to come to fruition.

I wasn't thrilled when first heard the news but you know what after a little think about it and a look at his record I think it's a solid appointment. He wanted to come here he believes he can build a good team that won't roll over like last seasons team. Reading his comments has give me a bit of confidence it's a refreshing change from dull Dave.

He has my full support let's give him a chance he deserves it. I just hope short backs him.

Yep I'd love him to come good, his record is good and this is a big break for him. He wants to be here. He will have to do it in spite of Short and Bain though.

Underwhelming but have to back him I suppose

God knows how limited the transfer budget it. What a f***ing pitiful time to be a Sunderland fan.

Simon f***ing Grayson , SACKED by Leeds, SACKED by Huddersfield, his BEST finish in THIS devision is 7th. I think I'll stop there , I'm getting more terrified the more I add.

Mediocrecy at its finest. He won't last 6 months
Who would have been your realistic choice then?

Simone Grazionez would have people frothing at the mouth. I`m pleased we`ve gone english and I¬m pleased we have given a chance to someone who has had a solid career with relative success on a shoestring. Much rather an appointment of this nature than some 2nd division german manager. Haway Simon give them it

He's better than Stokoe according to Wiki!

2008's finish of 19th surpassed the previous high of , under
