We sign a player for 3m the week before the Derby game and people start thinking that the ball is rolling. We get a draw at Derby and then nothing happens until we sign a striker for 0.75m. Bring in a veteran old player on a free and then nout till deadline day when we panic buy somebody for 4m and another loan.

This can't be true, as I wrote on the back of a notepad earlier that he had 75m to spend with a further 15m in Jan if we were in the top six.

I think that holds as much weight as this article. I think the last few weeks have proved very few know what is happening in the club. Only those that need to know in the club will know the budget! Not some journalist.

The positive of us not having any money in all the papers is, if Ellis does back the manager financially it would probably stretch a bit further. Look at the year everyone knew we had cash to chuck about we over paid.
