I think he's a decent manager and better than a lot of the others we've been linked with. Particularly as we are skint and investment is going to end minimal.

If he gets the chance he'll build a hard working, hungry team which I think the fans will appreciate.

He's not a big personality that will lift the club but will stabilise us.

Well, I love Larry. He brought us up from league one and we weren't far off playoffs to prem at the first time of asking. He's a tracksuit manager and been accused of getting too matey with players (rumour he knobbed Andy O Brian's wife). But he plays balls out attacking Keegan style football. Usually either get hammered or do the hammering.

He was a victim of Ken Bates at Leeds. Sold all our best players.

We also call him agent grayson because we always beat whoever he's managing since he left. Look forward to the Sunderland fixture!

Mixed bag really

That's interesting. My wife used to be good friends with Andy O'Brian's wife. I'll get her to ask her, see what she says

At least it also shows Ellis & Bain were doing something behind the scene, IF the takeover failed last night & today we have a new manager.
Do you see I'm trying to be positive, wish some other feckers on here were like !

we should all get right behind him!

We don't have a choice ,

people shouldn't right him off before he's even through the door !(I think that with all new players aswell )

I'll be there against Derby although I didn't renew season ticket

Snodgrass's lass was the rumour on a forum I was on today.

Good. The sooner he's appointed, the sooner he can bomb out all the spineless shithouses our squad is full of, and being in some young, hungry players who actually want to play for our club.
I'm glad we haven't went for one of the usual failures who are always touted about as managers.

Anyone have any knowledge on what type of football he likes his teams play?
I'd love to see a team with a bit pace for a change.
I asked this on the Preston forum and was told he will organise the defense as a priority... but he is quite negative in going forward.. but could be sour grapes..

Let's get behind him. I've a good feeling about this one.

To be fair I've been wrong about every appointment so far

Can well imagine. Uninspiring choice, but maybe we need a hard graft, back to basics type. Still feeling very flat about everything.
My sentiments exactly, he's probably what we need and that is the saddest thing. Is he going to lift the club? No, is he going to bring fans through the gates? No. Imho.

Give him 2 years and he'll get us up then we'll blow him out and get BSA back cos he'll have itchy feet by then and our new Arab owners will give him £200 million to spend and everything will be fine..it really will..soz i've had a few beers...

Absolute rubbish

He does well at League One level, he's been bang average (if not worse) at Championship level.

If you believe SG has been average at Championship level you are badly mistaken. Leeds fans always say he was treated unfairly when he guided them to outside he playoffs following promotion and as a Preston fan I can tell you he has been fantastic in the Championship. This season in particular the football has been much better to watch with a lot of youth and pace.

He is a brilliant manager but he won't be given the chance judging by a large proportion of your fans.
