Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

Walking past their boozers and they were celebrating like they won the league. Especially on Scotswood rd. Putting up 1-1 signs with their fingers and jumping all over like it was a victory! Some of them were even giving it the big 5-1!! They forgot about the 6 games previous.
History's great innit

Funny as fuck trying to decipher what this lurcher clown has posted by everyone else's replies.

I meant Bury. Thought the crayon-penned article may just be reflecting on Clarke's time there.

You got me. Trust you to spot that mistake, now go on and make a big deal about it, even though that is not the important part of the initial post. ;)

Aye, what a divvy I am for actually reading and understanding what you wrote.

That kid who typed that is a fuckwit though (Ryder or the one who made that comment, I'm not really fussed), I'll give you that.

The real problem here is perception.

The result on the final day probably reinforced my perception of him. He's not only a decent manager, he's also a lucky one.

Anyone from either club who says they wouldn't want him as manager are only kidding themselves.

All teams could use some of his luck. cf: Chris Hughton seems the complete opposite, one of the most unlucky managers around?

This place absolutely stinks of dirty mag these days. Surely they have their own bigger and better forum to infest ?
Gravy stained pricks, the lot of them.
They've got an exciting season ahead of them, with a world class manager in charge (apparently) and lots of new players coming in and yet they infest this board - wtf???:oops:

No we don't. That's an outright lie.

It wasn't inevitable, but it certainly was a difficult job. A much more difficult job than some Sunderland fans like to portray. He inherited a terribly coached side and yet managed to get 1.3PpG in his matches. A points per game return that would have got us 48pts, and 11th had it continued over a full season. 2 more games at that PpG would have got us to safety at your expense. We'd have finished above a manager that remains highly regarded on here despite having the majority of the season to get safety.

His first match was the eventual Champions, then a derby, then relegation 6pt-er, then the team that finished 8th, after that he didn't lose a game.

He failed to keep us up and deserves criticism for not taking all 3 pts from Villa and for not getting something from the Norwich game. But his portion of the blame is a much smaller slice than you're proposing.
Didn't lose a game ?
Played Swansea h - on the beach
Played Palace h - on the beach and only won as Cabaye missed that Penna.
Played Spurs last game who were mentally gone after losing league to Leicester.
Liverpool A - they were playing 2nd leg of Europa sf 3cdays aftervplaying skunks and played much weakened team. Still cud only draw.
Man C h - could nt win league, cudnt lose top 4 place. Soft game.
Villa a - say no more:D
If you're excited about that, good luck to you.

So you are suggesting that even if he is given time and support he can't turn Newcastle into a better than mid table side. Let's come back to this in a couple of seasons.
Well he turned Napoli from a side that finished 2nd in to a side that finished 5th after spending £100n+ and Inter from a side that finished 1st to almost midtable so given time I can see why you think this you deluded fuck

Never understood the fuss about him. He took them down then spent a shit load of money to bring them back up.

If someone gave me the choice between him and Grayson to be our manager next season I'd take Grayson every time.

in terms of his expectations a group of mags at work speculated this... if he needed £55m last season what does he need this season ... More?
they went on to vent frustration at the lack of signing ... they like us concluded that was because they may be subject to a takeover... or jabba is having a radge

Really take Grayson? Shit in this league and lost all 3 matches to the mags - wtf are the credentials that make you think that? Nigel Pearson has done the job before but never fukin Grayson. I think the Germans will ditch that fukker anyway they are bound to have their own man lined up and I guarantee it won't be Grayson who is dogshyte or doggenshyten as they say in Germany
