Think what the lad meant was that if Benitez had came in two games earlier, had more time to work with the squad, not if the season had carried on to 40 games. We got beat 5-0 at Chelsea, then had almost 3 weeks til our next game, that would've been the time to sack McClaren and bring in Benitez before the Stoke and Bournemouth games, and that's where the possibly the extra points would've came from, as he'd have had an extra month working with the squad. Clearly he was doing something right as we finished the season 6 unbeaten.

Anyway it's a redundant discussion isn't it really, it is what it is. Promotion secured at the first attempt and we look forward to August.

Always remember that game for Yedlin absolutely shitting his pants taking a throw in 2nd half. Soft as f***ing shite he was. Few Mags shouting at him n he totally fell to pieces!:lol:

Anyway I agree the more games is a pointless argument cause as I said, if me auntie had balls she would be me uncle it is what it is he had the games he had and failed to get the points required.

He was successful on his job season just gone and only time will tell after that.

Yeah we should have took that game as it should have been 3 or 4 by the time they scored. But it wasn't and that was the result. If it was the other way round we would have heard how they had more throw ins and corners for weeks like we did the derby before.
