You're in a decent position whatever happens. 60% of the teams in the champ have signed up (should be able to get a stream somewhere) and the remaining teams are largely big team so higher chance of sky picking up your matches with them anyway.

It's £110 regardless of club you follow. Same price if you're us or Yeovil Town.

Be interesting the numbers who suscribe to this. Tbf theres brits grafting/living allover the shop now.

Id probably emigrate to get away from safc not subscribe to it. Terrible for your health.

The Derby game is on Sky, as is the Bury cup game. Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday are signed up to iFollow and I would expect the Leeds game will end up being on Sky too.

The first 5 games at least should be available to stream from somewhere.

It'll be interesting to see how it goes in terms of Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday fans streaming from the iFollow player to the wider web.

Actually, Barnsley and Sheffield United are signed up too, as our Forest. Our next game then is Hull, which will probably get selected for TV.

There will be plenty of our games available.

As an expat I am going to be pissed if we had this option as a club and didn't take it. Talk about pissing off your own fans. Last time we went down there was the silly radio streaming thing we weren't part of, now this. I can't wait until there are some actual professional people running the club at all levels...
Agree there lad

Agree completely. It would be typical SAFC to not take up an option for something that could help engage fans in other parts of the world at a time when we really need all the interest we can possibly generate.

I've got a few mates over here who adopted SAFC in spite of how shit we are simply because they enjoy going to a bar together and watching a team we all follow. Those people have formed an affinity with the club now, buy merch, would go to a game if they visit the UK etc. Won't take them long to lose interest if they can't even watch games.

Any international fans contacted the club yet as apparently sunderland will be offering international fans live coverage of all games in the efl

The main ifollow service offers all the games in the efl, league 1 and 2.

A few teams like Sunderland and Leeds are going to run it through their own website.

Its A$ 185 for the ifollow service so presuming linking to 1 club will be cheaper.

Any news?

Sounds like you already know? Where did you hear this?

I emailed club and they came back saying they were looking in to it and would announce if any news. I emailed again this week as that was a while ago and haven't heard anything.

Looks like all EFL clubs have the rights to do it, but I think will be down to whether our current website is able or if they can be arsed/have the resource/time to build in an additional platform in to watch and for people to pay for it.

ifollow is a platform most EFL clubs use as their website, which is why they automatically have the function. Clubs with their own website need to build the capability in.

I emailed the club about a month ago and all they told me was they're exploring options. I'll post their response when I find it.

Clubs response to my email:

Thank you for your recent email to Sunderland AFC.

At present we are awaiting further information and investigating the various options regarding streaming games in 2017-18. Once we have any further information to share we will of course do so.

Kind regards

Customer Services

Where did you get this info? This is news to me....

I'm thinking about sending an email to them also, not because I expect an update but just so they know there's interest. The more of us overseas supporters who do so the better I'd imagine.

What's the best address to use?

I did the customer service email on the club site under 'contact us'.

I'll email them. Anyone know if this is simply live streaming, or could you watch the full match later? I'm frighin sick of getting up in the middle of the night to watch matches, be nice to have it available when I get up
