Wait, Mark Douglas wrote a book called the Rafalution?

Used to be a good, balanced journo but dear me, he's a shadow of his former self.

I'm not overly fussed if Rafa stays/goes but it would be hilarious to see Douglas' face if he goes a few weeks after he penned an entire book about the time the little battlers spent 80 mill and got promoted.

However, I did read one reason Tammy Abraham is signing for Swansea is because is everyone was worried about him being distracted by the nightlife and culture of the Quayside

It shouldn't be hard to understand that to a place as popular as this, a 20 page thread is the equivalent of a couple of replies on an empty skunk forum.

Culture? Does the rioting and horse punching extend down to the Quayside, too?

He has Ashley fucked. Has the backing of the fans like he is some Legendary manager who has come along to their sleeping Barcelona of the North to save them. Everything he says is lapped up by the Jawdee faithful like the masses at church high on God. He cannot do any wrong and all of this will be Ashleys fault if he doesn't get his own way or it falls to shite.

Aye and I suppose if he was Sunderland's manager you'd be berating him, saying he's failed everywhere he's been, chequebook manager etc.
Doesn't make you less of a sunderland fan if you manage to look at a situation objectively involving Newcastle you know, it's OK to say he's a decent manager and you wouldn't mind somebody like that at Sunderland.

He covers Newcastle exclusively and has done for a while tbf.

Douglas is from Bradford and supports the bantams. I'm pretty sure his dad is a red and white from Ryton though.
