Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

To be fair, we have identified a fair few targets and have done literally zero business. We are struggling to sign a lad playing for a shite team in spain. He is right to question wtf is going on.

Hang on - wasn't one of the reasons your lot were so excited about getting him down to his connections and standing in the game? Hardy was on Sunday Supplement about a month ago saying we wouldn't believe the players he was going to bring in through his contacts. There were a lot of Newcastle fans who were quick to praise him last season for the profits you made on some players, yet once again when anything negative happens he's exonerated from any blame.

Sounds to me like he's not holding his end of the bargain either at this point.

Infairness very much like us the press are guessing and have to make up assumptions to write stories as the vast majority will have zero idea what is going on.

This aswell. Took Liverpool years to recover from his madness. A manager that tries ro replace alonso with barry should be banned from football

Any player would crawl over broken glass for the chance to play for Rafa iirc

If it was any other club id feel for them.

If you are paying your manager one of the highest salaries in world footbalk but wont do same for players whats the point?

Meaningless half hearted ambition from the book of Ellis Short.

huddersfield are trying by the looks of it

I fancy at least two of the promoted teams to be relegated so nufc have to be ready for the battle

I also think Watford may flirt with the bottom three

Even though I hate the mags there's fuck all to see here Benitez has been loyal to them tbf yes money talks but he can see the massive potential there and won't get a bigger club at the minute as despite the local media's frenzie over him is a busted flush as far as the really big European clubs are concerned

Huddersfield 4/7
Brighton 6/5
Burnley 11/8
Watford 6/4
Swansea 9/4
Newcastle 7/2
Crystal Palace 9/2

Relegation odds
overestimating nufc Imo. They lost iirc five home games last year, you could double that easily in the prem these days.

I think I will have a bit if that

The most overated manager I have ever ever known! This is not because he is Newcastle manager, I have been saying this to Liverpool mates of mine since 2006.
Hes a good manager, but nowhere near the world class bracket the mags seem to think he is.

His best work came well over a decade ago (League titles with Valencia).

Burnley, Swansea, Watford & Palace are currently stronger than the mags.

Bottom 3 as it currently stands on paper. Let's see what business is done over the summer with all the Prem clubs

Wouldn't rule out a flukey season from the gits though.

Agreed, decent odds. Huddersfield absolutely nailed on for the drop IMO but that 4/7 price only means something if placed in a multiple
Or if u have masses of cash to lash on and make a 50% profit on. A rich mans bet,who if placing said bets regularly would be skint.

I nearly fell off me settee when I read that liverpools new signing salah wanted to wear the "famous number nine shirt"

does that mean there is more than one?

This is why some of the more gobshitey mags should keep their powder dry on here. Disaster is always round the corner for our neighbours.
