Doctors, engineers etc etc. People with qualifications who can enrich the country. That has nothing to do with culture it's to do with benefitting ourselves. I don't need to embrace their culture in order to accept what they offer us.

It's an appalling and revealing phrase that. " what they offer us". Intimates not only an us and them mentality that serves to do nothing but alienate immigrants but is also a peak into your soul which is a bit ugly.

Professional people are offering ourselves a service not pushing their culture onto us and if you think they'd have taken the moral high ground and stayed in their Muslim state had we not embraced their culture then you are very naive indeed.

I stand by 'what they offer us as well' surely that's the criteria In which people should be allowed into this country in my opinion. That doesn't make my soul ugly, I don't want to bomb people or run them over in s van I just want to live in a world where the threat of some mass atrocity isn't hanging over our heads. Why is that unreasonable? As I've already said in this thread it's too far gone now though and I fear things are only going to get worse sadly.

My final point on this, would be this. In this last three years, there have been at least two people I know of who have been arrested for terrorism in our region. If either had been able to carry out their plans, hundreds would have died. They were disillusioned young white men. How does that fit with your view of the world?

You only have to look at the governments in the middle east that base their laws on islam to know it is totally backward. You don't need to visit these countries to know that either.
