I remember being at cattermole debut away at Bolton he totally bossed the midfield that day can't for the life of me remember what year it was but it was a very good away day. Best of luck hopefully if the fixture falls kindly to work I'll get to this season's away fixture.

It was the opening game of the 2009/10 season - Bruce's first game as manager. I think I heard it said somewhere that we finished 10th that season!

How times have changed.

Remember a great away game there in 1975. Allardyce scored a power header to equalise , Reidy also playing for them as we threw away a 1-0 half time lead to lose 2-1!! Great atmosphere though, sure it was there's biggest gate for the season by far. Masses of Sunderland support.

Never been to the Reebok but have memories of Burnden Park. Mid 70's we took at least 10k down there for a top of the table clash, one of the games I can remember vividly. The other was a game on Easter Monday, absolutely pissing down and John McGinley scored in the last minute!!

Love Bolton away probably my favourite tbh, the hotel in the stadium is class too.

Stayed in the hotel for a few days, called in at Stoke away ( night game) on my way, had a canny craic with Frankie W & were sat near a gang of wads - players w & gf?

El Hadj Diouf was living in there, horrendous habits, treated a young woman ( suited up wad - his PA?) like a dog, dressed like a mag ( just expensive shit as opposed to Poundstretcher crap). Horrible shite

Hey, just a bit of a friendly pointless message here. I just want to say I look forward to playing you guys next season, and excited for my first trip to the Stadium of Light. Both our clubs have seen better days as Bolton vs Sunderland used to be a prem fixture not long ago! Look forward to you coming to our place as well, and I'm sure you will sell out. If you have any questions about travel to here and the match days then I'm more than willing to give some info. Good luck for the season and hope you get promoted.
Welcome to the board marra but try not to call geordies 'guys' as they may take offence.

197?, Boxing Day, took '000's, ( mabees 10 :) ) Trotters Bar up the road, topless bar maids, can't remember result mind.

I think Reidy played for them & maybe BSA??
Boxing day 1975 . 42000 there. Reidy got the winner for them . 53000 at the return game, we were already up and kept them down . At the time, everybody over 30 remembered us both being big clubs .

We came 14th I think. That was the season where Bruce had his 14 game winless run before we beat Bolton at home (4-0)

I remember Bolton away a few year back when Cahill still played for them.

He pulls up outside the Reebok in a flash as fuck car and I'm thinking, " you ain't that good ffs  ":lol:
