Cheick Tioté - RIP

No, the only reason people are posting these pointless 'heartfelt' 'tributes' is football. Nobody here knew him personally as far as I know, nobody will be profoundly affected by his death. I never understand people queuing up to type 'RIP' or paying tribute to someone they never liked and leave messages to people who will never see them.

Of course it's a sad loss for his friends and family, we know that, no point in repeating it over and over and over again. There have been hundreds and thousands of tragic deaths in the last few days, all affecting families and friends. All that sets him apart is he played football. It's not as if he set a shining example to anybody, he had a nasty side to his game and he was a 'convicted' cheat, but at least his family will be left well looked after.

Utterly respect your right to have an opinion, just not sure it needed to be aired on this thread mate.

For what it is worth, If the same had happened to say Cattermole, I think you wouldnt appreciate this kind of comment. At the end of the day they are all people first footballers second. And whether you liked them or not didnt stop thousands liking and appreciating him.
