Whether or not he is classed as a failure at Bristol City is irrelevant, Moyes was a success at Preston. I've always said that certain people fit certain clubs at a certain time (Lawrie Mac). Plenty of managers fail at one club and become a success at others. Its about getting the right fit for the club at the time and we need someone who is going to grab the bull by the horns and give the whole place a lift. Someone who see it as a privilege to manage us, not just a job. A manager who has the stones to instil the same into the players as well and not let the tail wag the dog.
Good post. Plus, what are the alternatives? They all look like more of what we have previously had.

Hope he has us defending better than they did for the winner...and doesn't sign that keeper
Did you watch the whole game? I thought Lewis was canny. In fact, if Pickford goes, I wouldn't mind seeing us in for him regardless of who's manager. I still don't understand how/why his career took such a weird turn, anyone know?

I must be just imagining that one of our players is out after every single game in a pub near where I live drinking shots and getting pissed then.
Name names mate, you don't owe any of them anything including the benefit of anonymity. .

Aye, bar the opening 5 mins. Gifted Celtic the cup in the last minute because he doesn't know where he should be standing.

To be fair the standard all owa the pitch was shocking for most of the game so I wouldn't really expect the keeper to be any different

Sorry mate but you are totally wrong on this No drinking cultutre...
You say there is a drinking culture. I wouldn't know one way or the other. But if there is, at least back up the claim with something.

Fair enough mate, all about opinions, as I say, I thought he was decent overall. Either way, something must've happened for his career to take such a relative nosedive from the trajectory it once appeared to be on.

And that makes a drinking culture. Player after game before his day off goes on the drink?
In the Premiership age where by the majority of players look after themselves so well, that's not far off constituting a drinking culture.

I watched that closely and imo it was a well taken goal rather than poor defending. Defender nearest the scorer as he took the shot had to attempt to negate the possibility of a pass inside and the keeper also had to consider the likely option of a cross shot to the far post. Compared to some of the Keystone Cops defending by Papy and his colleagues this season it was acceptable imo.

Three defenders round him and he just walked past them. It made it even worse that virtually exactly the same situation happened in exactly the same position of the pitch a few minutes before. Defending for all three goals was shite to be fair. I can see why Denayer was held in such high regard while he was up there

On the winner, that Considine fella was out on his feet .I never took much notice of how much he put into the game individually, but minutes before that, the ball was with Haynes, I think just yards in front of him and he offered no support whatsoever, you could clearly see he was paggered and wasn't about to move any further than he needed to

For me both full backs were at fault for both goals but the last one the Dude na were all out on their feet and were defending like we do from the first minute deeper and deeper
