GIbson "I'm getting booed"

Really? his last league appearance for Everton was in May 2016, must have had good foresight to know he was coming to us in January 2017 to reserve a special goodbye clap for him. Ask him where we will finish next year.
What the fuck are you talking about?

I'm telling you everton fans in general liked him.

Apparently the Everton fans didn't like him.
It is very large group to make such sweeping statements, but a lot certainly went off him after his conviction. On the other hand he was rated for being able to play forward passes, rather than the side-to-side crap served up so often by midfielders.

Don't understand the booing of Gibson.

Has played a lot of games at the top level for Man United and Everton, clearly well past his best and not good enough for the Premier League anymore but it wasn't his decision to bring him in.

Even if so, he's he joined a struggling team and never really stood a chance. Not his fault he's been put in the worst side in the league.
He will do a job in the Championship I think. Certainly will be a cut above most midfielders in the league.

I'm only going off what all of their season ticket holders told me mate. I think Seb has mistaken him for Baines, easy mistake to make to be fair.

No you wernt, you were telling me that your brother in law clapped him off after a random appearance to try and imply that Everton fans thought he was good. I'm talking about the fact he isnt good, we should know we watch him most weeks.

'What the fuck are you talking about?'

Surely that should be reserved for the fact that you have vaguely attempted to defend the signing of Danny Graham

You are exaggerating. He was a good first team squad member for years, but had injury issues for a long time. He was one of the most progressive midfielders they had for a long time.

However he did lose a lot of popularity after being done for drink driving.

'His impact on Everton in his first two seasons was such that the club won 52% of the games he played in and only 25% of those he did not, with Gibson being hailed as the key link between attack and defence.'

DARRON GIBSON STATS: MANCHESTER UNITED MISFIT TO MERSEYSIDE MAGICIAN

'Positionally astute and technically sound, the former United player has added a touch of class to the Everton midfield. At his best, Gibson boasts a wide passing range, adding another dimension to the engine room. Answering questions over his fitness and attitude, Gibson fits comfortably into the team’s pressing style and leads by example.'

Aye tbf it was just Gary who clapped him off.

And definitely, I was defending the signing of graham, he was class for us.

Why are you trying to sell him to us marra? We've seen him, he runs like a slug with a gastric band attached around his face.

I'm not trying to sell him - I am saying that he was pretty popular at Everton, was reasonably successful, but lost a lot of fans after he was caught drink driving. He was also ravaged by injuries, so his promising start was ruined.

I also think he is past it as a PL player, but will add a bit of quality to the centre in the lower league.

He is the subject of a very lengthy thread here
