Tha gap between the premier league and the rest of the football league is huge. Our u23s would give a good account of themselves in the championship
 
There's going to be some very disappointed and disillusioned Sunderland fans around by about October. The overall standard isn't great but the entire football club is in disarray and flat out broke. Genuinely think you'll go down with a rather large bump, you've not bottomed out just yet.

We had a significant turnover of players and the money to reinvest on building a squad that can cope with playing two games a week most weeks. We also had a fanbase united behind a manager and an air of optimism and ambition in the playing squad.

On the face of it you don't have
  • The financial resources to build a squad to cope with a promotion push
  • A united fanbase behind the manager
  • Any optimism and ambition
If you think it's going to be a walk in the park I think you're going to be disappointed.

We've been punching above our weight for years and have been shite for years. No surprise really. Still managed to beat your lot 6 times in a row and relegated yous with that win over Everton. Thats how shite Newcastle have been anarl. But keeping the majority of your squad together is no coincidence yous won promotion
