The premiere league's the place to be...

I did. Fancy not winning as many games at the highest level as opposed to the second tier. I really expected to be winning every week.

I think the club should apply to the northern league so we can win more games. While we're at it, enter the FA cup at the preliminary stages - think of all the wins we'll see!
It's ridiculous isn't it? If we end up getting up it will just be even harder to win games tbh, it makes absolutely no sense.

Weird. If people want wins - any wins, then the club should arrange friendlies with some local pub teams.
 You're on fire mate. Short and Moyes in!

A week after relegation and yes no one wanted to see us relegated but apart from the odd great result and customary drubbing of the mags, who can genuinely say they have enjoyed our stay in top league?
For me it just comes as a relief that now we can try and rebuild from a clean slate and start again.
I have enjoyed our stay in the top flight, there's been plenty of good moments and I'd rather pay to see our lot up against high calibre footballers than Championship plodders.

I'm saying even if we're up we won't be able to compete. We'd only struggle again.
We'd never have the money before hand.

The key to not struggling is investing the premier league money wisely, something we've failed to do for the last decade.

That's not really the point though. I'm more pissed off that despite being in the richest league in the world for 10 seasons, we have failed to improve as a club.

Of the 20 teams that were in the premiership the season we were promoted, all but 7 have been relegated. All but the current top 7 - the 6 big boys + Everton. Obviously some have made it back up, but relegation at some point is a fact of life for most clubs.

Although it didn't feel like it towards the end, just being there for 10 years was an acheivement.

Aye, but constantly poor, I'm literally f***ing drained from watching us the last few year. There's no guarantee we'll be any better next season but we couldn't be any worse.

Well the people saying on here you will piss the league just have to take a look at the table 80 points was needed to finish 6th

Leeds won 22 games and didn't get a playoff spot that's nearly half of their games won yet still not good enough

It's going to be as competitive next year as 2 of the previously relegated teams didn't bounce back so that will be 5 ex premier league teams from last 2 years in the division. Along with the rest competing for 2 automatic spots

In my lifetime the only 2 teams i have not seen Sunderland play outside the top flight are Everton and Arsenal.
So the other members of the top 6 teams have all been down to the Championship at some point. They have taken the steps to make sure they came up and stopped up. We on the other hand have wasted the last 5 seasons trying to stop up. With stupid transfare policies set by Short.
