You're laughable man, at least half a dozen mags on this thread getting all vexed just because a spurs fan says commiserations. Your egos need to be in a state of permanent massage for some reason.

not vexed at all its so blatantly not a spurs fan though if you can't see through it then you're as daft as i suspect

Oh really? Care to put your theory to the test?

What I said earlier about Newcastle fans' sense of entitlement - it's a rare Newcastle fan I've encountered that doesn't seem to have an enormous chip on their shoulder.

Not heard from you, old chap. Do you want me to prove my Spurs pedigree or not? Maybe send you a photo of my membership card? How about I show you some of the Spurs memorabilia I've collected over the years? I've still got the flag from the 125th anniversary match. My programme from the last North London Derby at Highbury...? I'm at your disposal...

Hi guys,

Spurs fan in peace here.

Just wanted to send you all my commiserations for your relegation. Yesterday was a tragedy as far as I'm concerned.

I obviously don't need to tell you guys that your club is one with a long history and, to me at least, is one of the truly important threads in the 'tapestry' of English football. Your absence will leave a gaping hole in the League that only you can fill. (I personally have a further affinity with you because I detest Newcastle so very much, but that's beside the point...)

And I'm sure I'm not alone among supporters of other clubs who will be saddened by your relegation. Obviously, it's nothing compared to what you all must be feeling, but remember, you're not alone - you have a lot of friends in football (matchday banter aside)

Personally, I've always enjoyed you guys at White Hart Lane (not been able to make it to the SoL yet - my apologies). To travel that bloody far and make that much bloody noise is quite awe-inspiring.

I remember a 5-1 result (sorry) at the Lane... 2014 I think it was. The noise you made that day was amazing. To-the-hilt support - brilliant. And then after the match, me and my mates ended up in a pub with some Sunderland fans and they were one of the funniest group of guys I'd ever come across. And even though they'd just suffered a pretty nasty result, they were so gracious and friendly it was one of the best post-match sessions I can remember. I always have so much time for you guys - you're great.

And this year, you've handled what has been a truly horrific season with so much grace, which furthers your reputation as a great set of fans - it really speaks volumes about you.

Anyway, I won't take up any more of your time, except to offer my sincerest commiserations again and to say

Please come back SOON!
Oh No, He said " You Guys " so will be condemned to Hell now ( I'm still there after innocently using the term once )

wow i suppose we are just like the gooners

Excellent. In which case you've just undermined yourself.

If you DID accept that I was a Spurs fan, then your point about me pretending to be a Spurs fan just to spread good feeling is voided.

If you DON'T your reference to Arsenal fans is meaningless.

Congratulations - you got yourself coming and going!

Nobody in the top flight misses a team thats always just hanging round the bottom making up the numbers each season. Nobody was disappointed when Coventry went down, or Wimbledon, or Bolton, or Wigan, or Newcastle, same for Sunderland now.
A team perennially engaged in a relegation scrap adds nothing for anybody.
Newcastle were the same for a few years before we went down as well. Just a pointless team filling up the league, like the others i listed as well.
what is it with all these sad mags? You would have thought they had better things to do.
