Agreed but he could have started by appointing someone that does.
Said this for ages. He should have appointed a chairman that knows about running a club. Instead, he thinks he can do it, and he's fucked it all up.
His statement last night about making mistakes, and how he has a plan in place is bullshit imo. We've never had a plan in place since he took over, he's made that many fuck ups, how can he inspire confidence in the fans that he knows what he's doing?
The fact that he's left us with a massive debt, that he amassed, is proof in itself that he hasn't got a f***ing clue what he's doing.

How many teams/clubs from the prem have thought the same and are still in the championship or League 1 now ?

I do wish people would stop inferring that because it is the level down from the Premier League then it is somehow easier. It is not as Newcastle will no doubt ignore. They lost their first two (away to Fulham and at home to Huddersfield), they lost at home 2-0 to Wolves, lost two in a row against relegation threatened Blackburn and then Nottingham Forest (1-0 at home and 2-1 away), three games later lost to Sheffield Wednesday 1-0, and after getting revenge on Nottingham Forest lost 1-o away to Blackburn, lost 3-1 at home to Fulham, after beating Wigan and Burton at home they lost to Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 which was the first of three without a win as they drew 1-1 with Leeds and then lost 3-1 at Ipswich. They failed to do the double over THREE teams (Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers). They only got as far as Round 5 of the EFL Cup as they lost 3-1 aet to Hull City and got knocked out of the 4th round of the FA Cup to those giants of football...Oxford United. Their season wasn't as dominant as they like to think it is. Even given what they think about Saint Rafa of Newcastle.

We would be wise and prudent to look on next season with raised eyebrows. Just take a very careful approach to it.

We need a young up and coming coach with experience of promotion here or abroad and stick with him as long as he doesn't do a Moyes.

Strange how the mags have done it twice. Yet the first time, they had been in the prem for about 15 years, but still got promoted at the first attempt. How?

They have suffered due to poor managers.
Correct but had Bruce been in at the end of last season (I know that couldn't have happened) and had the full close season I think they would have been challenging. The worst possible scenario for us, in my opinion, is to fanny on with Moyes for the next couple of months and then get a new manager at the end of July. Moyes had made lots of mistakes but if we hadn't been messed about by BSA/the FA and he had more than a few weeks before the start of the season he may have done better. The club/Moyes with have to part company now or be clear that he is staying to rebuild and steer us through a tough summer. Doubt it'll happen though.
