So why watch it? So that you can get really offended by the local BBC newsreaders reading their autocues? Or do you desperately need to keep in touch with local Councils fining people for street drinking and a drugs raid in Stockon?

Strangely enough, I've managed really easily to avoid any coverage of them going up whatsoever. I did hear two granddads talking about it at the school gates, I was able to rein in the rage I felt coursing through my veins at that point.

Picked the Sun up this morning, thought it was the chronicle. Splashed all over front and back same as the mirror. Can't remember them doing that for Brighton.

Because I pay for it! ITV and Sky can do what they want but the BBC in the North covers Northumberland, Wearside, Teeside and Cumbria and since we put the majority of money into that shower of clowns we shouldnt have to endure the endless pro Newcastle dissing every where else crap that comes form these despicable people.

IMO of course and i don't expect us to have too much to reinvest. The quality may not be brilliant in championship but it's very competitive.

So you watch every programme you pay for? Or just the ones where you can watch the newsreaders reading their autocue, tin foil hat firmly in place, and eagerly spot any signs of a facial expression when talking about the Mags that shows outrageous bias that you can be offended by?

Out of curiosity, what did these 'despicable people' actually say or do to 'diss everywhere else'? I can only imagine it must have been serious.

They did however 'deserve' to get relegated as they were one of the 3 worst teams end of last season.

Tougher. A lot tougher.

Transfer fees are higher and the quality of manager is far better. I know it isn't that good a barometer but you had 2 managers who had won the European Cup there at the start of the season.

Football is evolving into a global game and with more exposure comes the possibility of attracting better overseas talent. 10 years ago, you would never have seen a former coach of Borussia Dortmund managing at the top of the Championship.
 
They should go and sign Torres and Xabi alonso because of the Rafa connection I've already heard this morning. :lol:

Doesn't matter that he's retiring.
