Iirc he googled the age of consent and then fucked it off. By that point he'd already done wrong.
 

The thing about this whole episode that I will never understand is just how stupid a footballer who, in relative terms, has everything can be.

Yes she was young and attractive, as are lots of young lasses. But why ever take a risk of getting into a situation like that? If you're a young, fit, successful and very wealthy footballer then you will be idolised by many females, including those 16 and younger. Most young blokes in that situation would be like kids in a sweet shop. It's like Disneyland for a kid. But why take the risk? Any footballer with more than an ounce of brain cell capability should be going nowehere near any lass that looks even remotely young.

Read the pre sentence reports, it tells you. He wasn't attracted to her because of her age, it's was his own arragance and self entitlement.

Everyone including the media are though, "nonce" "peado" etc, the truth is he fancied a lass that looked early twenties, and because of his own sense of self entitlement and arrogance that he could have anything he decided to meet her despite her being 15 not because she was 15. He should have ended all contact when she told him she was 15, he didn't and has now destroyed his life. A lot of footballers think they are untouchable because of their status which is why so many of them drink drive etc.

Same as Ched Evans as well. Was hoping clubs start to do more in respect of this, oh and the PFA, although that is a pathetic organisation.

Good post though, especially as we have disagreed in the past on this subject.
