Hes setting up in the championship with the most expensive bloated squad ever to play on the counter attack. He is a busted flush, he wont get a better (used in the loosest of terms) club than newcastle. He will probably bore them to a mid table finish next season.

He didn't get to any champions league finals with Valencia, that was Hector Cuper, he won the league and won a UEFA cup.

Those achievements are commendable but t could be argued it was done largely with the team Cuper had assembled.
 
Why would any top team touch rafa now, he is a busted flush. If he was any good he would have kept them up last season, or at least romped the championship this season after they have spent 120million in the the last 3 windows.

Suspect he means two champions league finals with Liverpool. No doubt he did a great job at Valencia and a good one at Liverpool but since then his record is patchy at best compared to the expectations of the clubs he's been at.

Ah good point, 2 champions league finals with Liverpool was good going considering g how poor that team was really, didn't Djimi Traore win a medal? :eek:
