I agree. I apologise for keeping it going. One person's views - be it for attention or to be contrary to the majority view - need commenting on is all.

I believe he's done this several times in the past about Johnson too.

But he can't see that most people would consider his view of child abuse as being somewhat jarring despite several posters telling him so.

So I give up.

I might bump that thread, it's great viewing. I know it's not serious marra, only those who create alter egos (imagine that) think it is :D and then to have the mods ban you for it and take the piss about it, oh dear.

I didn't say it was all right in that post. What I said was a lot of these cases don't even get to court!

For what he did he got a very harsh sentence compared to what the average "man on the street" would get.

So do I and I agree except for it being a harsh sentence. If you work in cp how can you see any sentence like this as harsh?

What difference does that make though. A lot of rape cases don't go to court doesn't mean those that get sentenced are harsh does it. Others who get let off and light sentences show how shit the cjs still is in certain areas of abuse to children that's all.

...The laws in this country which protect children are wrong

...Often the victim in these cases is really to blame.

The thread started off with apparantly normal human beings who believe in the laws and social values we attach to protecting children, but then they saw was unfolding and abandoned it.

Now we're left with god only knows what - people who are vehemently arguing that I'm wrong to believe sexual relations with a child is wrong.

You implied they wouldn't make it about football, that's so what. I know the morlocks get the blame for most of the ills in our world, and rightly so in most cases, but I've not seen anyone blaming them for this.
