This has got nothing at all to do with todays game - and the Eu has nowt to do with no shipbuilding in NE.
Its about global overcapacity - and the ability to build them cheaper in places like Poland, Taiwan, and China. Naff all to do with the EU
And the score was.

If results stay as they are then Huddersfield 6 points behind them with a game in hand and in cracking form. No wriggle room for the Mags if they start getting nervy. "Would LOVE it" if they didnt go up
Unlikely, but what probably concerns me most is that even with the massive amount of money they've spent on players and keeping hold of their 'highly rated' manager Benitez - which is likely to be substantially more than we'll be willing to invest next season - they aren't home and dry. It really doesn't fill me with a great deal of confidence for us coming straight back up next season 'if' we go down, to be honest.

Awful result today, our home form is a real concern. We're 7th in the form table at home iirc.

We struggle to break teams down and don't get enough possession particularly with that ginger shithouse in the middle of the park.

We took your eyes out with that transfer fee tbf. Couldn't believe how much you give us for him at the time and still have a laugh at how much you over paid for him

Seriously do no mags actually go the match? They're always on here
4 or 5 do, which means the other 49000 don't.

As for will they blow it?
Don't think they will their away form is too impressive and they'll more than likely still at least 6 points from their home games.

He tried to remedy it in January which was the reason for the grumblings near the end of the window.

The amount of money he was given in the Summer how can he complain? Its unprecedented to spend that much in the championship

You'll use Villa to justify it though when in reality a competent manager would have won the league weeks ago with that squad

Hughton had a worse squad and won the league comfortably

I'd take our squad in 2009/10 over this one. We had more players who I was confident would make the step back up than this one. A lot more.

Think you are right. Benitez bought a lot of very average players

It's more to do with the players that have come down aren't as good as the previous lot. We didn't make signings in the Championship that are in the ones I suggested that could make the step up.

Not sure why you would say he had a worse squad then?

Indeed, it's almost like the amount you spend isn't the be all and end all.

Well either way it looks bad on Rafa. You're either saying he has signed absolutely shite players and can't be trusted with money or you do think the squad is good but the manager isn't doing as good a job as Hughton?

I don't see how the players that were kept post relegation in 2016 not being as good as the ones in 2009 reflects bad on Benitez. I'd have to recheck who we signed in the summer of 2009 but there are a few of Benitez's signings that will do okay if we are promoted (Gayle, Ritchie, Hayden as backup).

It will be interesting to see if they manage to get rid of those not good enough for the Premier League when they go up. They will be on decent wages and there is a high possibility they won't get the same at other championship clubs.
We know all to well the problems that can cause
