Believers in fairies , unicorns and goblins don't try to impose their beliefs on other people.
Religins do all of these things and more.

I think that's a little naive. Terrorists will always have reasons for flying planes into buildings, or blowing up other people. It is the nature of humans to attack each other. Religion was supposedly invented to control such urges but was perverted by humans.
