Staff Redundancies at SAFC

Redundancies are a fact of life.

They also ruin lives.

Joleon Lescott will likely earn in his stint here what most of these 40 people earn in a year.

Moyes and Bain are completely teflon coated.

No other fan base in the country would applaud their club sat at the bottom of the league watching their team preparing for relegation and ripping the piss with twee marketing campaigns claiming we're all in this together whilst making 40 people unemployed in one of the poorest cities in the country and having a knees up in New York.

It beggars belief what our fans will tolerate.

By this same stage last season Villa fans had literally taken to the streets and forced most of the club hierarchy into hiding.

Our lot are applauding the grim reaper who even when he tells us everything is fucked still has everyone lapping it up.
Misery loves company and its waiting list is well over subscribed (surprisingly no one on here is losing their job I assume so can afford to be flippant and on occasion nasty)

I really do agree with this like. We are far to forgiving and people really are incapable of taking the red an white SAFC specs off at times.

So sending millionaires out to New York on a jolly and sacking the people who have to work to feed their kids is fine with you?

Absolutely. It happens in business everywhere. Redundancies are part and parcel.

The New York trip is completely seperate. All clubs go on trips. If footballers reapond to that to produce on the pitch its something the club have to do.

So clearly he feels those areas are over staffed. Business is a harsh world. Been through this sort of situation and not good but just life.
Agreed marra! I've just been through a whole business review at Sunderland Uni, I had to reapply for my job. It wasn't nice!

There's barely been any disquiet about it bar on some people on here.

The national media have been quite scathing but thats just to get a dig in about New York.

But our local representatives continue to let 'the people' down by their blinkered obsession with keeping the club happy.

There's the Chronicle and the Echo just muttering this is all perfectly understandable yet again.

I don't think there is now a single thing this club could do to get fans angry.

We've had the sex offender, the ludicrous owner, the manager who says we can't expect anything better and the hatchet man applauded for making staff redundant and telling us the club is completely fucked and we'll never sign a decent player again.

Bravo.

When you out it like that.

Bed sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeets owttttttttt

On a serious note though, I have said before that some people on here would never ever see anything the club do as incorrect. Ever. They didn't with AJ FFS

Same here at my work coming up.

But I don't "support" Sunderland
University.

And the University isn't imploring me to keep the f***ing faith and find some unity with them and keep on giving them hundreds of pounds a year so they can keep taking the piss.

Nobody is forcing you to hand over hundreds a year. Grow some backbone and walk away if you're not happy.

I don't support and cheer on random businesses

I'm a football fan

All these just increases the pressure on the Everton game, as if there wasn't enough already.
If we get a tanking and it's another gutless show, then they will attract all the stick they'll deserve.

Or how about supporters of the club hold the club to account and question their activities?

What a radical idea.

Most benign set of supporters in the country.

Plenty of people have questioned Ellis Short and some like myself walked away from the club as I refuse to let him take the piss out of me any longer. Nothing good whatsoever can happen to SAFC as long as Short remains owner. I feel sorry for the people still pumping in hundreds a year but the truth is that Ellis Short is making complete mugs out of you all.

Seems strange to look for all this goodwill, try to show unity by the USA trip then rip the legs off it by telling everyone they are getting pumped. Only at Sunderland.
