You're right about those halcyon days, my mag mates had it large then and generally strutted around like so many dogs with multiple penises - and had my life to boot.

I'll never forget the look of terror on their faces as the reality dawned that Jellyspine really was going to blow an 'unassailable' lead.

It was clear early on that season that there were still issues (Collymore 4-3) then spunking a load of cash on a runaway garden rotavator from Colombia (Asprilla) but by the time the sorcerers apprentice (Cantona) broke the mags hearts and Special K made a pillock of himself I was in heaven - I had after all started attending church and praying for these very things to happen

The previous 4 years of torment were worth living after all

I still laugh at how the mags wank themselves at the "I would love it" moment. That was the day he blew the title.
