Newcastle look comfortable at the top and certs for automatic promotion but the next 2 months is where it'll become interesting.
Between now and April 1st they have 9 games but only 3 at home. Not only that, 3 of those games are away to the teams in 2nd, 3rd & 4th plus Norwich in 7th where it all started to go wrong for them last season. Defeats away to Brighton, Reading & Huddersfield could see them out of the automatic places.
Today sees some interesting fixtures down in that division with 3 of the top sides at home.
Brighton v Burton
Leeds v Cardiff
Reading v Barnsley
QPR v Huddersfield
Wolves v Newcastle
If all the home sides win the table would be
Brighton 30 64
Newcastle 30 62
Reading 31 59
Leeds 31 57
Huddersfield 30 55
Wolves should give Newcastle a game but I think a draw is as much as they'll manage .... still, it's live on Sky so worth a watch especially if the others have won and put the pressure on
