Old News but confirmation now of GTH's new role.

Wembley Stadium has appointed ex-Sunderland FC commercial director Gary Hutchinson to the newly created role of head of venue sales and commercial partnerships.

Hutchinson (pictured) moves to the capital after leading the concert business at Stadium Of Light in Sunderland, where he helped bring superstar acts such as Beyoncé, Coldplay, Take That, Foo Fighters and Bruce Springsteen to the North East venue. He was commercial director for the past five years.

In addition, Liam Boylan, who joined Wembley from SJM Concerts in early 2015, has been made stadium general manager. Danielle Russell, the venue's partnership development manager, music and new events, will be responsible for bookings, working with Hutchinson.
"We have a great music calendar ahead of us which will currently see Stone Roses and ELO come to Wembley as well as four nights of Adele - and more to come," said Russell. "I will continue as partnership development manager, music and new events, working with Gary to bring in the best of music to the stadium, whilst Liam and his team will work alongside us, hand in hand, to ensure that event delivery is at its optimum too."

News of the appointments follow the departure earlier this week of . Events director Lindsey Jackson also exited at the end of 2016.

Someone suggested he may be on tv soon. Anyone else heard that?

He's a mag iirc

Just made up stuff from on here iirc.

"I have been a Sunderland supporter all my life and I will continue to follow the club with tremendous pride. I wish David and the team, along with everyone associated with Sunderland, the very best of luck for the remainder of the season and beyond."

He isnt. He hates football.

Thats bollocks as well. At school he didnt even like football.

He's getting plaudits for bringing those big acts to the stadium yet the club lost money on the gigs.

Probably a Sunderland "supporter" who didn't support the club like. Loads of them. The mags have more.

How well did you know him? There were lads at school I had no idea liked football, mainly because they didn't play. Loads who didn't go and didn't play too but would still claim to support Sunderland if asked.

I couldnt enjoy any of the ones I went to because of this.
What has that got to do with it? I enjoyed the gigs I went too and didn't give a damn about the club's finances. However, the money people at the club certainly give a damn hence why they have chosen to concentrate on football rather than concerts. SAFC's revenue streams are a disaster for a club our size (one of the worst in the Premier League) and no doubt Mr.Hair had something to do with that financial performance.

They'd be worse if not for the hair.
