Yes it does, but if Brighton win, it keeps Reading where they are or vice versa. Assuming that we are still 2nd by the time they play each other. Not sure when they are going to play that game though.
If us or Brighton advance to the 4th round of the cup, then our league game at Brighton will need to be rearranged as well, which might make that fixture a potential title decider later in the season. Fa cup semi final weekend will probably be vacant.

Lets be honest as much as Benitez is going to make a hash next year the chasing pack are poor, they wont be caught.
